Fernandez de Oliveira selected for Palmer Cup again

Fernandez de Oliveira selected to represent Team International at the Palmer Cup.

Fernandez de Oliveira achieved his dream of participating in the Masters, but it’s back to familiar territory for the senior Razorback.

Golf Coaches Association of America again selected Oliveira to represent Team International at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Oliveira reigns as the Latin America Amateur Champion and is currently ranked 27th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. This appearance makes him the first South American to make the Palmer Cup team twice.

In the 28th Arnold Palmer Classic last summer, Oliveira led the international team to a 33-27 victory as the only player on the team to go 4-0.

Razorbacks Men’s Golf program officially has eight appearances. Sebastian Cappelen has the most appearance, being selected three years straight in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

The 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup will be played June 8-10 at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Pennslyvania, just a few miles from Arnold Palmer’s hometown, Ligonier.
