The recruitment for five-star power forward Jarin Stevenson is coming to an end on Wednesday night as he’s set to make his decision.
Stevenson will announce on Wednesday night, picking between his three finalists of UNC, Alabama, and Virginia. The five-star prospect recently cut his list down last week after taking visits to each program.
As we sit here on Wednesday awaiting his decision, recruiting experts are starting to log in their predictions. And it’s not great news for North Carolina fans.
On Rivals, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the favorites to land Stevenson as they have picked up three predictions for the talented recruit. All three were logged on Tuesday and they now hold a 75% edge to UNC’s 25% on the predictions. That lone UNC prediction came back in 2021 after he was offered by the program.
Another big decision for Stevenson will be if he reclassifies from 2024 to 2023. A report surfaced last week that if it was Alabama, he would reclassify to 2023. But if he stayed in the 2024 class, he would more than likely pick UNC or Virginia.
Stevenson will make his decision at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday night.
