Farewell Piemonte Calcio: Juventus returns for FIFA 23

The Old Lady will return to the popular video game after a three-year absence

After a three-year absence Juventus will return for FIFA 23, EA Sports has announced.

The Italian giants have been known as Piemonte Calcio in the popular video game franchise after the club reached an exclusive agreement with Konami to appear on their eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer games.

But Juventus will now head back to EA Sports for its upcoming FIFA 23 game.

“We’re excited to reaffirm our deep commitment to Italian football through this exclusive partnership with Juventus,” said David Jackson, VP of brand for EA Sports. “This phenomenal club means so much to us and our fans, and will enable EA Sports to continue to deliver the most authentic and comprehensive interactive football experiences possible in FIFA 23 and beyond.”

EA Sports has already announced that Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr will be the cover stars for this year’s version of the game, which will be released on September 30.

FIFA 23 will also be the final season of the partnership between EA Sports and FIFA, with the game set to be known as EA Sports FC starting next year.
