Matthew Stafford put together a valiant performance against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, leading the Los Angeles Rams to a 29-23 victory in overtime. He battled through a hip injury that was causing him some significant discomfort, orchestrating a perfect game-winning drive in overtime that ended with a touchdown pass to Puka Nacua.
Over the course of the game, he made some eye-popping throws, as he has all season and throughout his career. Two of them stood out more than others, to the point that the NFL’s official social media account posted them.
Fans were understandably in awe of them because, well, they were ridiculously good. The first was a throw over the top of the defender to Nacua for a big gain, and the second was a crucial fourth-and-3 conversion to Van Jefferson in traffic.
