Fans react to LSU’s season-opening loss to USC

LSU’s run of painful season-opening losses was extended on Sunday night.

LSU couldn’t pass its first test in the 2024 season, losing to USC on Sunday night in Las Vegas 27-20 after the Trojans successfully capped off a game-winning drive with a 13-yard touchdown from Woody Marks.

Despite the offense accounting for over 400 yards in an efficient regular season starting debut for quarterback [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] and the defense showing signs of improvement, especially up front, USC still outgained LSU with nearly 450 yards of offense.

It was a disappointing loss, especially in a game the Tigers were driving with a chance to win in the final minutes. With LSU losing its fifth-straight season opener, here’s how fans, media, former players and others reacted.
