Falcons WR Julio Jones won’t play Sunday vs. Chargers

The All-Pro wideout has yet to practice this week and on Friday, head coach Raheem Morris ruled Jones out of this Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, per team reporter William McFadden.

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has been nursing a bad hamstring pretty much all season. Despite being listed as questionable in Week 13, Jones suited up and played well against the Saints, despite Atlanta’s 21-16 loss.

The All-Pro wideout has yet to practice this week and on Friday, head coach Raheem Morris ruled Jones out of this Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, per team reporter William McFadden.

Jones finished with six catches for 94 yards in Week 13 but after last week’s loss to the Saints, Atlanta’s playoff chances have all but evaporated. Jones’ absence will open things up for Calvin Ridley, who’s well on his way to recording his first 1,000-yard season.
