It’s hard to believe, but the end of the 2019 regular season is upon us. And, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s truly been a tale of two seasons.

Following Week 3’s home loss to the New York Giants, the Bucs took to the road for five-straight games, including trips to Los Angeles, London and Seattle. They went just 1-4 on that stretch, and following a loss to the Saints in Week 11, Tampa Bay sat dead in the water at just 3-7.

But, after winning four-straight games prior to Saturday’s loss to the Houston Texans, the Bucs are now 7-8 and have a shot at finishing the year at .500 with a win in Week 17 over the visiting Atlanta Falcons.

Quarterback Jameis Winston, who will return to the team in 2020, has a shot at making history Sunday. Winston is just 92 yards away from reaching 5,000 passing yards on the year, which would make him the eighth quarterback in NFL history to accomplish that feat.
