Falcons trade for Ravens TE Hayden Hurst

The team moved quickly in finding a replacement for Austin Hooper, trading a 2020 second-round pick and a fifth-round pick to the Ravens for tight end Hayden Hurst

The Atlanta Falcons have been among the NFL’s busiest teams on Monday, losing tight end Austin Hooper to the Browns and releasing Desmond Trufant, Devonta Freeman and Ty Sambrailo for cap space.

The team moved quickly in finding a replacement for Hooper, trading a 2020 second-round pick and a fifth-round pick to the Ravens for tight end Hayden Hurst and fourth-round pick, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Hurst, 26, is a former first-round pick from the 2018 draft. In 2019, he had 30 catches for 349 yards and two touchdowns.
