The Atlanta Falcons have added another assistant to Raheem Morris’ coaching staff. According to Albert Breer of the MMQB, the Falcons are hiring Los Angeles Chargers assistant Kevin Kroger to be their tight ends coach.
Kroger, 34, served the last three seasons as the Chargers tight ends coach following a two-year stint in Green Bay as an offensive quality control coach. Before starting his coaching career, Kroger played tight end at the University of Michigan from 2008-2011.
The Falcons are hiring Kevin Koger away from the Chargers to be their new tight end coach, per source. A key hire for Raheem Morris and Zac Robinson as they try and maximize Kyle Pitts in the new Atlanta offense.

The Falcons have a promising combo at tight end between Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith. Despite coming off a serious knee injury in 2023, Pitts finished with 53 catches for 667 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season.
Smith was a pleasant surprise, racking up 50 catches for 582 yards and three touchdowns. Track every Falcons coaching hire under head coach Raheem Morris HERE!
