Falcons starting lineup for Week 2 matchup vs. the Eagles

Falcons Week 2 starting lineup with PFF grades for prime-time matchup against the Eagles

The Atlanta Falcons brought in some major reinforcements during the 2024 NFL offseason, adding quarterback Kirk Cousins, safety Justin Simmons and outside linebacker Matthew Judon. Since the team was only a few wins short of a postseason berth in 2023, NFL fans and analysts jumped on the Falcons’ bandwagon for 2024.

However, that was before Sunday’s 18-10 loss to the Steelers. Not only did Cousins appear shaky, but the offense showed many of the same issues it had last year. Running back Bijan Robinson led the team with 111 all-purpose yards and tight end Kyle Pitts had a touchdown, but the Falcons turned the ball over three times in Week 1.

The pressure is on heading into Monday’s prime-time matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0). Based on what we saw last week, Atlanta’s offense could struggle to keep pace with a dynamic Eagles unit led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver A.J. Brown.
