Falcons sign veteran linebacker to practice squad

Falcons sign former Chargers linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams to practice squad

After a quiet bye week, the Atlanta Falcons (6-5) are gearing up for their Week 13 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers (7-3). On Monday, the team signed linebacker Tyreek Maddox-Williams to its 16-man practice squad.

The 27-year-old played in three games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2023, appearing mostly on special teams. Maddox-Williams, who signed with Atlanta’s practice squad earlier this season, also briefly played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers.

The Falcons named defensive lineman Grady Jarrett their nominee for the 2024 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. Each team gets to nominate one player for the award and the 10-year veteran is an easy choice.

The NFL also opened up voting for the 2025 Pro Bowl games on Wednesday. Click HERE to cast your vote for your favorite Falcons players.
