One week after releasing linebacker Frank Ginda, the Atlanta Falcons have re-signed the former USFL Defensive Player of the Year to their 16-man practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday.
In a corresponding transaction, the Falcons released punter Pat O’Donnell from the practice squad.

O’Donnell was signed as a backup plan in case starting punter Bradley Pinion was unable to play in Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Pinion ended up playing and therefore O’Donnell was released.
Ginda played well for the Falcons during the preseason and later landed on the practice squad. Check out the team’s updated 16-practice squad and depth chart heading into Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
