Atlanta Falcons safety DeMarcco Hellams had to be carted off the field in the first quarter of Friday’s preseason matchup against the Miami Dolphins after suffering a lower leg injury. Hellams, who is coming off a promising rookie season, got the start at strong safety on Friday night.
Just moments after the game began, Hellams’ season appears to be in jeopardy. The second-year safety was spotted wearing an air cast on his left leg. Check back for an injury update after Friday’s game.
