Falcons QBs coach Charles London to interview for Dolphins OC gig

London, who was hired by Atlanta in 2021, previously served as the running backs coach for the Chicago Bears from 2018-2020.

The Miami Dolphins named Mike McDaniel as their head coach on Sunday, just a few weeks after the team’s controversial firing of Brian Flores.

It now appears McDaniel has his eyes on Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Charles London for Miami’s offensive coordinator opening, The Athletic’s Josh Kendall reported on Tuesday afternoon.

London, who was hired by Atlanta in 2021, previously served as the running backs coach for the Chicago Bears from 2018-2020. Prior to that, London held the same role for the Houston Texans (2014-2017) and at Penn State (2012-2013). In 2011, he spent one year as an offensive assistant for the Tennessee Titans.

The Falcons already lost running backs coach Des Hitchings, who left to be Virginia’s offensive coordinator a few weeks ago. Atlanta then named Michael Pitre as its new running backs coach.
