Falcons push for LB Foye Oluokun to be added to Pro Bowl ballot

Fearless, fast and physical, Oluokun’s instinctive play has jumped off the screen this season. He was given NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his Week 9 performance against he Denver Broncos

The Atlanta Falcons have been a mixed bag thus far in 2020, but linebacker Foye Oluokun has been an undeniable bright spot.

A sixth-round pick out of Yale in 2018, Oluokun assumed a starting role entering the season and has been arguably the team’s best defensive player through the first nine games. As we highlighted in our 10 things to watch for against the Saints feature, the third-year LB is making a real case for the Pro Bowl.

The Falcons’ social media team brought a great disservice to light on Tuesday, though, pointing out that Oluokun wasn’t even listed on the NFL’s Pro Bowl ballot.

Every year, deserving players are overlooked for more established names when it comes to the Pro Bowl. And while Oluokun’s numbers are impressive, it’s hard to understand how good he’s been unless you turn on the film and watch for yourself.

Fearless, fast and physical, Oluokun’s instinctive play has jumped off the screen this season. He was given NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his Week 9 performance against he Denver Broncos.

The Falcons’ Twitter handle is attempting to get “#PutFoyeOnTheBallot” trending, so get out there and do your part to help spread Oluokun awareness throughout the league.
