Falcons provide injury updates on Darnell Mooney, Mike Hughes

Falcons injury news: Latest updates on Darnell Mooney, Drew Dalman, Mike Hughes and others

It’s been 10 days since the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Denver Broncos by 32 points. After a bye in Week 12, the team has returned to the practice field to begin preparation for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The last time we saw the Falcons take the field, they were battling numerous injuries at the defensive back position. Three of the team’s top cornerbacks did not play in Week 11, and a fourth — Kevin King — was injured during the game and did not return.

Several other players, including wide receiver Darnell Mooney and quarterback Kirk Cousins, were listed on last week’s injury report. Head coach Raheem Morris provided some updates ahead of Wednesday’s practice.

Morris said Mooney is “looking good and feeling good” entering Week 13, per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

Other Falcons players, including linebacker Troy Andersen, cornerback Mike Hughes and tight end Charlie Woerner, will practice with varying levels of participation, per team reporter Terrin Waack.

Morris also sounded confident that center Drew Dalman will make his return after missing the last eight games due to an ankle injury. Check back later this afternoon for the team’s first injury report of the week.

Plus, make sure to check out the Falcons’ updated 53-man roster and practice squad entering Week 13.
