After winning three of four games, the Atlanta Falcons are on a bye in Week 10. The team may have been dealt another setback on defense, though.
On Saturday, the Falcons announced via Twitter that defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. has been placed on the league’s reserve/COVID-19 list.

Fowler missed Atlanta’s Week 9 matchup against the Denver Broncos with a hamstring injury and his status for Week 11 was already up in the air. He signed with the Falcons as a free agent during the offseason on a three-year, $48 million contract.
This news comes just a week after the team released former starting DE Takk McKinley. Atlanta may need to add a defensive end or two to the practice squad in anticipation of next weekend’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
