Falcons cornerback Darqueze Dennard made arguably the play of the game during Sunday’s 30-26 loss to the Bears, coming down with a red zone interception that should have sealed the game for Atlanta.

Instead, Dennard left the game with a hamstring injury. The team reported on Tuesday afternoon that Dennard will be placed on the injured reserve list.

The Falcons were already extremely thin at cornerback with A.J. Terrell on the league’s reserve/COVID-19 list and Kendall Sheffield yet to suit up this season due to a foot injury.

Terrell can return in three weeks, as reported by ESPN’s Vaughn McClure below.

Atlanta (0-3) takes on Green Bay (3-0) in Week 4 on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
