Falcons PFF grades: Top 25 offensive players from preseason debut

Falcons QB Marcus Mariota and LT Jake Matthews were the team’s highest-rated offensive players in PFF’s Week 1 preseason grades.

The Atlanta Falcons pulled off a thrilling victory over the Detroit Lions in their preseason debut on Friday thanks to rookie QB Desmond Ridder’s late touchdown pass to wide receiver Jared Bernhardt.

It wasn’t just Ridder’s game-winner that had fans excited following Friday’s 27-23 win, though. Starting QB Marcus Mariota was a perfect 3-for-3 with a rushing touchdown, rookie WR Drake London led the team with 24 receiving yards (on one catch), and RB Tyler Allgeier averaged 8.3 yards per carry.
