Falcons LB Troy Andersen could be out for season

Arthur Smith said Falcons LB Troy Andersen’s shoulder injury “didn’t look good”

The Atlanta Falcons lost their first game of the season on Sunday, and they may have lost a starting member of their defense in the process. Linebacker Troy Andersen suffered a shoulder injury during the game and was spotted leaving the stadium with a sling on.

On Monday, Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said Andersen’s injury “didn’t look good” and that he could potentially be out for the season, per team reporter Tori McElhaney.

If Andersen is indeed out for the season, linebacker Nate Landman would likely be the next man up for Atlanta. Landman got the start for an injured Andersen in Week 2 and was one of the team’s highest-graded players.
