Falcons injury news: Updating Drew Dalman’s status vs. Cowboys

Falcons provide injury update on center Drew Dalman ahead of Sunday’s game vs. Cowboys

On Saturday, the Atlanta Falcons (5-3) officially ruled out starting center Drew Dalman for Sunday’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys (3-4). Dalman, who has missed the last five games due to a high ankle sprain, was designated to return from the injured reserve list on Wednesday.

Despite practicing all week, the former fourth-round pick will be sidelined for his sixth consecutive game. With Dalman out, the Falcons will look to backup center Ryan Neuzil to fill in against the Cowboys.

Atlanta may also be without starting right guard Chris Lindstrom. The two-time Pro Bowler injured his knee against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 and has been listed as questionable for Week 9.

The Cowboys are dealing with some injuries/issues of their own. The team listed cornerback Trevon Diggs and All-Pro guard Zack Martin as questionable. Plus, Dallas has ruled out cornerback DaRon Bland, running back Ezekiel Elliott and edge Micah Parsons.

On Friday, the Falcons signed linebacker Rashaan Evans to the 53-man roster and placed rookie defensive lineman Ruke Orhorhoro on the injured reserve list. The team also elevated defensive back Natrone Brooks and outside linebacker Demone Harris from the practice squad.
