Falcons extend lead over NFC South after Buccaneers lose

NFC South Standings: Falcons are only team with winning record after Buccaneers lose on Thursday night

The Atlanta Falcons (4-3) picked a good year to revamp their roster as the NFC South appears to be wide open in 2023. Without someone like Tom Brady around to ruin the fun, the Falcons have a chance to take control of the division over the second half of the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave the team a boost on Thursday night, losing to the Buffalo Bills to fall to 3-4. That loss by the Bucs put a full game between the Falcons and the rest of the division going into Week 8.
