Falcons elevate WR Chris Blair from practice squad, rule out two rookies for Week 14 game vs. Vikings

The Atlanta Falcons have elevated one player from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Wide receiver Chris Blair will join the team’s 53-man roster in Week 14.

Blair was a training camp fan favorite, leading Atlanta with 91 receiving yards in the team’s preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Falcons also ruled out defensive lineman Ruke Orhorhoro and wide receiver Casey Washington.

Blair can help fill in for Washington on Sunday. Darnell Mooney (Achilles) is set to play despite being limited in practice on Friday. Mooney also sat out for rest on Wednesday.

Orhorhoro has yet to be activated from the injured reserve list but returned to practice this week. The rookie has been out since Week 9 due to an ankle injury.

The Falcons and Vikings could each be without one of their starting cornerbacks in Week 14. Minnesota ruled out All-Pro Stephon Gilmore and Atlanta listed Mike Hughes as questionable.

Check out the team’s latest injury report, depth chart and 53-man roster heading into Week 14. Sunday’s game starts at 1 p.m. ET in Minnesota.
