Falcons elevate two practice squad players ahead of Buccaneers game

Falcons announce two practice squad elevations ahead of Week 8 matchup vs. Buccaneers

The Atlanta Falcons have announced two practice squad elevations ahead of Sunday’s NFC South matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For the second consecutive week, the team will use standard elevations on defensive back Natrone Brooks and outside linebacker Demone Harris.

The Falcons are thin at outside linebacker after placing Lorenzo Carer on the injured reserve list. Harris, who drew the praise of the coaching staff for his efforts in Week 7, will likely get more reps behind James Smith-Williams and Matthew Judon in Week 8.

Brooks has made steady progress since signing with the team as an undrafted free agent last season. He should continue to help out on special teams.

The Buccaneers and the Falcons each have 4-3 records. The winner of Sunday’s game will take sole possession of first place in the NFC South. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET inside Raymond James Stadium.
