The Atlanta Falcons completed an interview with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson for their head coach vacancy on Thursday, the team announced. Johnson is the eighth candidate the Falcons have spoken with thus far.
The 36-year-old served as Philadelphia’s quarterbacks coach from 2021-2022 before replacing Shane Steichen as offensive coordinator in 2023.

Johnson was a former college quarterback at Utah but went undrafted in 2009. The Falcons have talked to more experienced head coaches but an offensive specialist would make some sense considering the state of the team.
