Falcons CB Kevin King ruled out vs. Broncos due to head injury

Falcons cornerback Kevin King questionable to return vs. Broncos with head injury

Falcons cornerback Kevin King has been ruled out against the Denver Broncos, exiting Sunday’s contest with a head injury in the first quarter.

This does not bode well for the Falcons secondary, which is already thin with the absence of Dee Alford, Mike Hughes and Antonio Hamilton Sr., making things potentially easier on quarterback Bo Nix and company in the passing game.

King totaled one solo tackle in this contest before he was forced to the sideline. He came into the game with five combined tackles, two of which were solo.

It will be interesting to see how Atlanta fares in regard to this position group through the remainder of the contest, and if King is indeed able to return to action.

Safety Richie Grant will play at cornerback for the time being alongside starter A.J. Terrell

Atlanta currently trails Denver, 7-3 at the bottom of the first quarter in Mile High Stadium as the Falcons looks to bounce back from last week’s 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
