Falcons CB Breon Borders has been suspended for the first two games of the 2023 NFL season, per ESPN’s Field Yates

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Breon Borders has been suspended for the first two games of the 2023 NFL season, ESPN’s Field Yates reported Thursday afternoon.

Borders, 27, just signed with the Falcons on Monday, so it’s unclear why the league suspended the former Titans defensive back.

UPDATE: Borders was suspended for using performance-enhancing substances, per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Falcons cornerback Breon Borders was suspended two games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy, a person familiar with situation confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
