The Atlanta Falcons have elevated two players from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Cornerback Kevin King, who was released from the 53-man roster on Friday, was re-signed to the practice squad on Saturday and elevated for Week 6.
The Falcons also elevated offensive lineman Matt Hennessy from the practice squad to provide depth behind Ryan Neuzil at center. Hennessy, a third-round pick by Atlanta in 2020, started 17 games for the team in 2021 but was eventually replaced by center Drew Dalman.
With Dalman on the injured reserve list due to an ankle sprain, Hennessy was signed to the practice squad in Week 4. While Neuzil has held his own thus far, Hennessy gives the team a little extra depth and versatility on the interior of the offensive line.
Atlanta also activated linebacker Nate Landman from the injured reserve list on Saturday, meaning he will likely return in time for Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
