The Atlanta Falcons have acquired wide receiver Van Jefferson in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Rapoport, the Falcons sent a sixth-round pick in 2025 to the Rams in exchange for Jefferson and a 2025 seventh-round pick.

The 27-year-old wideout was selected in the second round of the 2020 draft out of Florida. Jefferson has just eight catches for 108 yards this season and has been phased out of the offense in favor of Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell.
In 2021, Jefferson had 50 catches for 802 receiving yards and six touchdowns as the Rams went on to beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl.
In 2021 with the #Rams, Van Jefferson had 50 catches for 802 yards with six TDs. If Atlanta can get anywhere close to that production, it’s a huge win. https://t.co/QBKoVYeQMf

The Falcons recently placed wide receiver Josh Ali on the injured reserve list and had yet to sign a replacement to the roster. Hopefully, Jefferson can recapture some of that 2021 magic in Atlanta.
