Failed 2-point conversions doom Eagles, Washington Football Team

Two-point conversions come up short and so do the Eagles and Washington Football Team.

The NFC East doesn’t get many victories. So you grab every chance you can to try and get a “W.”

The Washington Football Team and Riverboat Ron Rivera decided to go for two against the New York Giants to try and pull out a victory when trailing 20-19.

The Philadelphia Eagles had fewer options as they had to go for two late in the fourth quarter after scoring to cut the deficit against the Baltimore Ravens to 30-28.

Predictably, both 2-point conversion plays failed.

The Giants did pick up a victory for the NFC East, downing the Washington Football Team. It was Joe Judge’s first victory as an NFL head coach.

This puts Philly at 1-4-1 and Washington and the Giants at 1-5 each in the miserable division. The Eagles are the only team of the trio with a victory outside the division. Washington beat Philly for its victory and the Giants beat Washington.

The Cowboys have a chance to tack on a win — or a loss — Monday against the Arizona Cardinals.
