PERCY HARVIN – WIDE RECEIVER
Percy Harvin comes in at No. 4 all-time among Florida Gators recruits after being scouted at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 247Sports ranked him second in the nation overall in 2006, first overall in his state and first at the wide receiver position.
His arrival at Urban Meyer’s burgeoning program that year sparked a stretch that represents the apex of Florida football, as he earned two national championship rings in three years with the Gators. He left for the National Football league in 2009 when the Minnesota Vikings selected him with the 22nd pick that year and enjoyed some prime seasons alongside Dante Culpepper.
On March 14, 2017, after an eight-year career that spanned across four different teams, Harvin announced his retirement from the NFL for the second time and final time. The last word on him back in April 2020 was that the “itch came back” came back to play football again, though he has yet to sign on with a professional team.
