It’s a milestone Thursday for the Dallas Cowboys. Barely three minutes into tonight’s game against the Chicago Bears and running back Ezekiel Elliott has reached the 1,000 yard rushing mark.
Elliott ripped off an eight-yard run and that put him over 1000 yards for the season.

Elliott was ten yards shy of the mark prior to tonight’s game and now has three 1,000 yard seasons in four years with the Cowboys. He rushed for only 983 yards in the 2017 season due to a six-game suspension he served.
For reference, Hall-of-Famer Emmit Smith leads the Cowboys with 11 1,000 yard rushing seasons from 1991-2001. Elliott now has 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.
It remains to be seen if Elliott will add a third rushing title to his resume as Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns leads the NFL currently with 1,175 yards rushing.
