Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver and 2012 first-round pick, Kendall Wright, has signed a deal with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
Wright spent five seasons with the Titans, recording 280 catches for 3,244 yards and 18 touchdowns. His best season came in 2013 when he finished with 94 receptions for 1,079 yards and two scores.
After his time in Nashville, Wright moved on to play for the Chicago Bears, where he spent one season in 2017. In that campaign, Wright notched 59 grabs for 614 yards, and he found pay dirt once.
Since then, the wideout has been signed by the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals, but never played in a game for either team. It’s somewhat surprising that Wright hasn’t latched on elsewhere considering he’s been fairly productive during his career.
Wright will join fellow former NFL wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who has also inked a deal with the same CFL squad. Both players will now look to revive their respective football careers in Canada.
