Ex-Titans punter Brett Kern inactive for Super Bowl 57

Former Titans punter Brett Kern can still win a ring, but he won’t be playing in the actual game.

Former Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern is in line to get his first ring on Sunday night when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. Unfortunately, Kern won’t be playing in the actual game.

The Eagles revealed their list of inactives for The Big Game and Kern was among those who won’t be suiting up. Philly is instead opting to go with the punter Kern replaced upon going to Philly, Arryn Siposs.

The writing was on the wall that this would happen. Kern was struggling during his time in Philly, and the Eagles activated Siposs from injured reserve on Saturday.

The good news is Kern will still get a ring if the Eagles win, but it’ll be disappointing not seeing him out there taking part in the game.

Kern is one of three former Titans up for a ring in Super Bowl LVII. Eagles wideout A.J. Brown and Chiefs defensive back Ugo Amadi are also hoping for a title. Like Kern, Amadi won’t be suiting up, either.
