Another Irish Illustrated writer, Football Scoop John Brice, also points to the Notre Dame defense, but he also mentions the Irish’s sense of desperation with their postseason hopes on the line.

This is a tough match to predict, and the experts are far from being in unanimous agreement. That said, more than a few are banking on the Irish having enough defense and/or desperation to take home the victory.
