Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is preparing to head into his rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals after becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but his thoughts are with the athletes at the college level facing the possibility of a lost season.
Much still remains uncertain about fall football across several conferences, including the SEC.
Burrow took to Twitter on Monday with his thoughts on the situation.
“I feel for all college athletes right now,” he wrote. “I hope their voices are heard by the decision makers. If this happened a year ago I may be looking for a job right now.”

Burrow definitely has a point here, as some college athletes will lose out on time to show NFL teams what they can do in the event that the 2020 season is cancelled.
Burrow and the Bengals are set to begin their season at home against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 13.
The Bayou Bengals, expected to be led by quarterback Myles Brennan this year, are set to play their first game against the Ole Miss Rebels in Tiger Stadium 13 days later, on Sept. 26.
