Ex-Knick looking forward to Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving suiting up together for Nets

Nate Robinson doesn’t think there will be an adjustment period for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving next season.

Early in the 2019-20 season, both Brooklyn Nets players and Kenny Atkinson explained how they had to undergo an adjustment period in order to find their rhythm as a team. The roster had changed quite a bit from the prior season, so the team chemistry wasn’t where it needed to be.

But things could be different in 2020-21, even though Kevin Durant will be inserted into the lineup and the Nets could have a new head coach. The forward’s abilities, combined with Kyrie Irving’s, may pack the punch needed to get Brooklyn rolling right out of the gates.

That’s at least how Nate Robinson sees it.

The retired New York Knicks guard told Brandon Robinson of Heavy that he doesn’t think there will be an adjustment period for the pair — and he can’t wait to watch the duo take over:

They’re going to fun to watch together actually hoopin’. Because Kyrie’s style is just so free, KD is just out there ballin’ and you know, Sniper Gang; you know what it is. He really brings that championship mentality when he’s playing. He’s one of the hardest players to guard, one of the best players in NBA history…you heard what I said, one of the BEST players in NBA history so, it’s going to be fun to see those two together healthy and ballin’ man. I’m excited for next season for sure.
