After a gritty comeback win on the road against the Oregon Ducks, the Colorado Buffaloes are heading to Seattle where they’ll face the Washington Huskies on Thursday night. Now 13-6 overall and 5-4 against Pac-12 opponents, the Buffs have a chance to get another key road win against the Huskies.

Washington sits at 9-8 on the season with a 4-3 Pac-12 record. The Huskies are led by graduate guard Terrell Brown Jr., who is averaging a conference-best 20.9 points per game. Brown also leads the Pac-12 in steals per game at 2.6, and his teammate Daejon Davis is right behind him with 2.2 snatches a game.

The Buffs already beat the Huskies in Boulder this year, but playing on the road presents an entirely different challenge. Washington will be looking to bounce back from a tough 84-56 road loss against Oregon on Sunday in which the Huskies committed 23 turnovers and shot just 30.9% from the field.

Colorado, on the other hand, will be looking to solidify itself among the Pac-12’s elite with what could be its third consecutive road win. But, the Buffs haven’t bested the Huskies in Seattle since 2015.

The Buffs certainly have no lack of competitiveness in them at this point in the season, as they’ve demonstrated their ability to keep games close even after rough starts. Hopefully, no comeback will be necessary on Thursday night against Washington.

Tipoff is at 9 p.m. MT (8 p.m. PT) on the Pac-12 Network.
