Tad Boyle put it bluntly following Colorado’s valiant comeback attempt against the No. 9 UCLA Bruins on Saturday. Faced with a 17-point second half deficit, the Buffs clawed their way back to within one, but couldn’t create that go-ahead bucket in the final minute.
A few fewer turnovers in the first half, and who knows where this game would’ve been. Colorado bounced back from a poor shooting night against USC and made 50% of its shots from the field. That should be a winning number but again, UCLA made the Buffs pay for their first half sloppiness.
