As Barbie makes historic amounts of money at the global box office as part of the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon, the film’s big musical number is catching everyone off guard.
Ryan Gosling’s big song during the film’s climax, “I’m Just Ken,” is one of the film’s major highlights, complete with multiple set changes, a wide array of colorful costumes and Gosling belting the new song of the summer.
Gosling’s performance in the film is as great as you’ve heard, the perfect blend of gullible beach bro and cocky insecurity that boots the actor’s gift for physical comedy and overemoting at the best-possible moments. He does Michael Keaton’s Ken voice work in Toy Story 3 justice.
You can get a glimpse of the song and Gosling’s performance below.

With everyone seemingly going out to the movies this weekend to see the Barbie and Oppenheimer double feature, everyone’s got “I’m Just Ken” on the brain.
How could you not? It’s the cinematic earworm of the year (sorry, “Peaches” from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, you had a good run).
