We’re just a few weeks away from the start of NFL free agency, where teams around the league will build their roster with some intriguing names set to hit the open market.

Luckily, the league’s salary cap is expected to hit $208.2 million in 2022, which is a roughly $26 million increase from the 2021 season. That’s huge news considering the salary cap decreased from $198.2 million in 2020 to $182.5 million in 2021 due to the COVID-19 impact.

The Bears are in a good position with the salary cap ahead of free agency, where new general manager Ryan Poles could still make some moves to free up even more cap space.
