Every name tied to Nets’ head coaching job

The Brooklyn Nets may have the pick of the litter when looking for a head coach, assuming Jacque Vaughn doesn’t keep the job after 2019-20.

Tyronn Lue

Irving’s old coach has seen his name thrown in the mix the most.

Smith included Lue on his shortlist on ESPN’s “First Take” not long after Jay Williams brought him up on “Get Up!” Kendrick Perkins also thinks Lue would be a good fit for the Nets — and Irving, specifically.

Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports is reporting “Irving prefers Tyronn Lue for Nets” — though, Brandon Robinson of Heavy.com is reporting Brooklyn’s point guard feels differently.
