Evan Mobley put up 15-15 performance in win over Kings

Mobley became the first Cavaliers rookie with at least 15 points and 15 rebounds since Tristan Thompson in 2012.

Evan Mobley on Saturday turned in a spectacular performance to help lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to their third consecutive win after defeating the Sacramento Kings.

Mobley recorded 15 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in 38 minutes of work in the 117-103 victory. He finished by shooting 7-of-14 from the field while he was also a game-high plus-20 on the court.

With the performance, Mobley became the first Cavaliers rookie with at least 15 points and 15 rebounds in a game since Tristan Thompson on April 8, 2012. His 15 rebounds were tied with Scottie Barnes for the most by a rookie this season.

The effort by Mobley marked yet another remarkable performance by the first-year center. He has dazzled seemingly every night on the court as his arrival has helped the Cavaliers to a fast start this season after beginning with a 16-12 record.

The third pick continues to prove that he is likely the front-runner for the Rookie of the Year to this point of the season. His impact on both ends of the floor has him in some rare air this season and that will likely only continue the more he plays.
