Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has done it yet again.
McPherson is the Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time in his career, this time due to his strong showing against the Miami Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football.”
There, McPherson hit all three of his extra points and nailed attempts from 19 and 57 yards in the fourth quarter.
McPherson won the same honors in Week 1 and Week 11 as a rookie last season. His third time means he’s just one shy of the franchise record, held by Doug Pelfrey.
At his current pace, it won’t be long before McPherson puts his name on the franchise’s record books in this area, too.
