ESPN’s Todd McShay missing draft due to coronavirus

If the NFL Draft couldn’t get any weirder, longtime ESPN Draft analyst and Draft weekend stalwart, Todd McShay will not be a part of the coverage this weekend due to having the coronavirus. McShay has been a critical portion of ESPN’s Draft coverage since 2006 and has been the peanut butter to Mel Kiper’s jelly.

This will be one of the weirdest draft weekends of our lifetime. With all of the general managers sitting and making their selections at home and those fans that were looking for some kind of normalcy aren’t even going to get McShay now. Since McShay has joined ESPN’s coverage the event has moved to primetime during the week and the first round is actually broadcasted on two networks.

The 2020 NFL “virtual” Draft will begin at 8:00 PM on both ESPN and ABC and will be a welcome sight for everyone stuck in quarantine. As a friendly reminder, the Cleveland Browns are selecting tenth overall.

We all wish McShay well in his road to recovery!
