The 2024 NFL draft is still a number of months away, but with NFL teams’ seasons ending and the Super Bowl coming in just four weeks, the draft and free agency are looming as big events for the teams which are no longer in the playoffs. The coaching carousel is going to spin for a few more weeks, but as soon as all the vacancies are filled, the Super Bowl will be near and all but two NFL teams will be fully locked in on free agency and draft preparations.
NFL organizations will undergo significant changes in the coming months. Teams in transition will face crucial decisions, and they will have to nail them at the draft. It’s always important to get draft picks right, but so many teams are changing either their rosters or coaching staffs that the value of a good draft this year is bigger than ever.
ESPN NFL analyst Field Yates is out with his top 25 prospects in the months before the draft. There’s a lot to consider, with USC’s Caleb Williams drawing lots of attention as the presumptive favorite for the No. 1 overall pick.
