ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky says Eagles must choose Carson Wentz or Jalen Hurts for 2021

Dan Orlovsky says the Eagles can’t keep Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts

Carson Wentz has been all the rage on NFL platforms, so it was no surprise that on Monday morning after a Jalen Hurts-led Eagles upset, the pundits and analysts would pick apart Philadelphia’s quarterback conundrum.

Dan Orlovsky has been Wentz’s biggest supporter in the media, and at times he’s properly criticized the Eagles quarterback for poor play.

On Monday, hours after Hurts offered a dimension the Saints weren’t prepared for, Orlovsky appeared on ESPN’s “Get Up” and told the world the Eagles have a decision to make because they can’t keep Wentz and Hurts in 2021.

The Eagles snapped their four-game losing streak Sunday with a 24-21 win over the Saints in Hurts’ first NFL start.

Hurts was 17-for-30 for 167 yards and one touchdown, while his athleticism allowed the Eagles to avoid any negative plays or game-changing turnovers.

Orlovsky pointed out like so many other times in the dynamic between Wentz and Pederson, that the play-calling and energy to the game were different when the mobile quarterback was under center.

Hurts will start Week 15 in Arizona.
