ESPN’s College GameDay makes picks for South Carolina/LSU

The LSU Tigers (1-2) meet the South Carolina Gamecocks (2-2) Saturday evening in Baton Rouge.

The LSU Tigers (1-2) meet the South Carolina Gamecocks (2-2) Saturday evening in Baton Rouge.

On Saturday morning, ESPN’s College GameDay crew made their picks for this weekend’s SEC meeting.

Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, and celebrity guest picker Vince Vaughn all selected the defending champion LSU Tigers. Meanwhile, David Pollack and Kirk Herbstreit chose the Gamecocks.

LSU will be without starting quarterback Myles Brennan, who is out with what is described as a significant lower-body injury. Brennan was injured in LSU’s loss to Missouri two weeks ago.

True freshman TJ Finley will be making his first career start for the Tigers.

The two teams last met in 2015, with LSU defeating South Carolina 45-24.

The game kicks off at 6 p.m. CT at Tiger Stadium.
