College football is finally here, and the anticipation has reached a fever pitch!
While Clemson won’t be hitting the field just yet, ACC teams have kicked off their seasons, setting the tone for what’s sure to be a thrilling year ahead. Florida State and Georgia Tech have already started to battle it out, giving us a look at what the ACC has to offer early in the season.
With the return of the season, ESPN’s College GameDay is back, and the crew wasted no time in sharing their forecasts for the 2024 ACC Championship. As usual, these predictions have sparked plenty of conversation, giving fans plenty to discuss as the games begin.
Of the five analysts, Kirk Herbstreit was the only one to pick the Tigers to win the conference.
“The depth of this conference this year is going to be much better than it has been,” said Herbstreit. “You just heard the guys go through the list of teams. Some of the obvious ones are Clemson, Florida State and Miami. You are right about Virginia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech. This is a different team this year. With that being said I think people are sleeping on Clemson, making fun of Dabo is exactly what he wants. They are playing right into Clemson. Clemson is going to win the ACC. They are going to get a bye in that playoff.”
Clemson has an excellent opportunity to make a run.
