Russell Westbrook has been known to make bold fashion choices, but by his standards, his attire on Saturday was relatively tame. Still, while sitting on the sideline during the Houston Rockets’ loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Westbrook drew the attention of the ESPN broadcast team, which began to savagely roast his outfit.
He was wearing a white oxford (buttoned at the top) with a suit jacket and suit shorts. One broadcaster called the outfit: “Business on the top, party on the bottom.” After cracking a few jokes about the outfit, another one of the broadcasters backtracked by saying Westbrook looked “very sharp.” Here’s a look at the moment.

The style shouldn’t surprise NBA folks anymore. LeBron James and the Cavaliers rocked suits with shorts. Draymond Green dabbled along with Trae Young. If we’re going to talk wild matching shorts and jackets, then we should really go back to James Harden’s snakeskin outfit. But LeBron has bascially normalized the suit shorts, for better or for worse.
Here’s a look at the whole outfit, which, again, is pretty standard.
The jokes were solid. But that suit is passable.
